It faces south to south west on the western side of the Serralunga ridge. The soils here are classic Serralunga: very white, chalky, and compact. The old vine density really comes through on the palate of the Barolo Parafada, intensifying the balsamic and slightly medicinal note of the wines core. This wine, however, is really about control.
