When Brampton Brewery was in its 1940's hey-day it had a pub called "The Griffin" on nearby Wheatbridge Road

In 2019 we wanted to try our hand at an American IPA using American hops and we sourced a new hop (for us) called Centennial

Subsequently the Red Sox went on a 'trophy-less' run stretching from 1919 right up to 2004

so we thought the safest option would be to ‘retire’ the name as a mark of respect to the original
