1824 Georgian Portrait of a 93 Year Old Man - WatercolourProbably taken from a sketch book this water colour portrait is of Thomas Sharwood Esq. Aged 93 June 4th 1824. It is in a vintage frame and the sticker on the back denotes it was a part of the Diane Cameron estate auction held by Mossgreen in 2008. Size actual picture 11cm x 16. 5cm, frame 22cm x 27cm free express and insured postage within Australia.

It has been finely worked in unmarked but tested 22 ct gold with two birds either side of the shank and tendrils with leaves and fruit surrounding the stone

The flower is carved as a hard stone cameo in onyx

High-quality Georgian cut steel pieces of this size and condition are becoming increasingly difficult to source

it was made around 1880-90 and is unmarked but tested for 15ct gold

The width of the face is 10 mm and the length from diamond to diamond is 18mm
